WHAT IT COSTS
The number on the quote is not the number you pay.
A charter fee covers the boat. Fuel, berths, cruising taxes, end cleaning and — on crewed charters — an Advance Provisioning Allowance of 20 to 35 percent all sit on top. Across a week that gap runs 30 to 50 percent. Below is what a 45-foot bareboat week actually costs in mid-June, from quotes we have run.

August adds 25 to 40 percent to every figure above. Moving the same boat to late June or the first half of September saves more than changing country — the arithmetic is in where the cheapest charters actually are.
Which size boat for your group
Count cabins, not feet, and never count the saloon. A 45-footer listed as sleeping ten is a comfortable boat for eight and a difficult one for ten. One cabin per couple is the rule we hold to.
